How we use the site

This is our shared family album and story book. Home is public. Photos and stories are only for family — you’ll be asked for the family username and password.

Use Safari or Chrome (not the Google app). Open Family album, sign in, then:

• Put group photos (Christmas, weddings, the whole clan) in the Family album.
• Put your pictures in an album under your first name. If two people share a name, add a last initial (Mary K).
• The filename becomes the caption — rename photos before you upload if you can. You can edit the caption under the picture.
• Tap a photo to name who is in it and to add a story. You can attach extra photos, a PDF or a Word file.
• Everyone can open every album and every story. Use Search to find a name, place or a few words — small typos are fine.

Keep originals on your computer or a drive as well. The site is for sharing the keepers, not every near-duplicate from the phone.

Please ask first

Anyone with the family password can see the shared albums. Please ask the people in a photo before you upload it — and always ask a parent or carer before putting up pictures of children.

If you only want a few pictures of your own family on here, that is fine. Older photos of the clan are welcome. You can also keep a separate album of everyday, non-sensitive shots for everyone to enjoy.
